First of all, I would like to thank our long time mayor, Gary Sturm, for all the help and advice he has shared with me during the mayoral transition of St. James. He has given much needed advice to start my term and look forward to helping our residents in the coming years. The city staff, council members and community have also been great to work with as we begin this new era in St. James.

Summer is not yet here but that does not mean people are not thinking about the Butterfield Summer Sizzler. One company was recently, Toro made a donation to the Sizzler last week. They donated a 72” 6000 Series Mower.

Question: I was wondering if you are stopped at a stop light in the left turn lane and an emergency vehicle with lights and sirens come in behind you (either in the turn lane or the lane to your right), what is the proper procedure? Thank you!
