St. James Area handled a tall task well, pushing to the end as the #1-seeded Huskies captured the opening playoff game 62-58. Alex Stresemann and Brennan Kern led the Saints’ rally, each scoring double figures in the final half alone.

Nicollet became the latest victim of a late-season winning streak with St, James Area staking a 50-20 halftime lead in the non-conference matchup. Eleven Saints players made their way into the scoring column during their 3rd straight win.

Strong Season for GBB Ends With Playoff Setback to Luverne
The 2022-23 SJA girls basketball season wrapped up at 16-12 as top-seeded Luverne beat the Saints 70-45. Taylor Sodeman’s three point heroics brought the team within striking distance before halftime but the 24-3 Cardinals were not to be denied.

Miest Gains Experience Representing Saints Wrestling at State
