SAINT JAMES: A Celebration of Life Service for Judith “Judy” G. Romsdahl, 88, of rural St. James, Minnesota will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, St. James, Minnesota. Burial will be in Kansas Lake Cemetery in rural Butterfield, Minnesota.
Judith was called to her eternal rest on Saturday morning, February 26, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society – Pleasant view in St. James, Minnesota. Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00p.m. at First Lutheran Church in St. James, Minnesota and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Church in St. James. Judith Geraldine (Radenbaugh) Romsdahl was born October 21, 1933 toLeslie and Mabel (Solberg) Radenbaugh in St. James, Minnesota. Judy was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, St. James. Shegraduated from St. James High School in 1952. Judy was employed at Berge Implement, Dr. Gosche Eye Clinic, and Peterson Jewelry Store, all in St. James. On April 24, 1955 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Romsdahl at First Lutheran Church in St. James. They settled into married life on the Romsdahl family farm where they lived for 67 years. Judy was a devoted mother to their six children. She enjoyed baking and sharing new recipes. Judy also enjoyed entertaining guests and loved the large family gatherings that would bring together her children and grandchildren for holidays, birthdays, and reunions. She was a member of Kansas Lake Lutheran Church and their LCW group. When Kansas Lake closed, they joined First Lutheran Church in St. James.
Judy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Romsdahl of rural St. James, Minnesota; her children Jeff and Nancy Romsdahl of rural St. James, Minnesota, Greg and Kelly Romsdahl of rural Butterfield, Minnesota, Brad and Deb Romsdahl of New Prague, Minnesota, Steve and Monica Romsdahl of rural St. James, Rebecca Romsdahl and Mick Beltz of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Sarah and Karl Anderson of Lake Crystal, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harold “Buddy’ Romsdahl of Mountain Lake, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Judi Radenbaugh of St. James, Minnesota and Jane Romsdahl of Littleton Colorado; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Mabel Radenbaugh; her mother-in-law, Ida Romsdahl, father-in-law, Joe Romsdahl, brothers Mike and Dale Radenbaugh; daughter-in-law, Cary Romsdahl and other relatives.
