A Celebration of Life Service for Doris Curry, 88, of Windom will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8 at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom with Rev. Pamela Prouty officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Windom.
 A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 8 from 10-11 a.m. at the church in Windom.
 Doris Curry passed away on June 1, 2022, at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

 Doris Jean (Froehling) Curry was born on February 6, 1934, to John and Alma (Johnson) Froehling, in St. James. She attended St. James Public School and graduated with the class of 1952.
 On June 19, 1954, Doris was united in marriage to Richard A. Curry in St. James. The couple was blessed with three sons, Mark, Matt, and Mitchell. The Curry family moved to Windom in 1958. Doris worked at the Corner Café in Windom, and she cleaned houses for many years.
 Doris was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Windom, where she was a trustee and deacon. She taught Sunday School and was a member of church Circle.
 Doris gave back to the community through her volunteer work as a Great Bend 4-H Club member and leader. She volunteered frequently at the church and in the community, especially through the Business Arts & Recreation Center (BARC). Doris was a member of the “Red Hatters”, and she enjoyed crafts, going to horse shows, and spending time with her family and friends.
 Doris is survived by her sons, Mark Curry of Waco, Neb., Mitchell Curry of Windom, and Matt Curry of Windom; three grandchildren, Travis, Kaye and Kristel; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dennis Curry of St. James; sister-in-law, Jean Froehling of Woodbury; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
 Doris was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Kim Curry; brothers, Mike and Don Froehling.
