SAINT JAMES: A Celebration of Life Service for Audrey E. Swanson, 82, of rural St. James, Minnesota, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022,at Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James, Minnesota with Pastor Mandy France and Deacon Lyla Klee officiating.

Audrey was called to her eternal rest on Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2022, at her home in rural St. James, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, until the time of the service at the Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James.

Audrey Elaine Cunningham was born on September 26, 1939, to Clifford and Ezurina (Giese) Cunningham in Madelia, Minnesota. She attended school in St. James and was a 1958 Graduate of St. James High School. Audrey then attended school in Willmar for Lab and X-Ray Technology. She was employed at the Trimont Community Hospital. On September 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Swanson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Galena Township. After their marriage, they farmed north of St. James and Audrey was employed at the St. James Hospital. They enjoyed spending time at their home on Long Lake. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church and led the Altar Guild for many years. She served on the boards of the Minnesota Corn Growers and American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) and served at the Watonwan County Food Shelf. Audrey greatly enjoyed cooking, sewing, snowmobiling and going on fishing trips. She loved attending her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events, school programs and plays.
