Central Farm Service new St. James Feed Mill is making way

This past spring Central Farm Service started construction on its new feed mill in St. James. On April 18, CFS broke ground and started digging for the first phase of this project. In the six months, construction has been keeping to the schedule and looks to finish by Fall of 2023.

Area agencies work on stolen vehicle case

The St. James Police Department has arrested 45-year-old Sherman Dean Kills Plenty from Sioux Falls, SD and 30-year-old Tatewi Alexandra Keirst Eagle Deer from Minneapolis, MN in connection to Sunday’s motor vehicle theft from St. James.

The Advent Spirit

Each day we are reminded that the world is not what it should be. It could be better - less suffering, more compassion, less poverty, more peace. Knowing that our world could be better, the church year provides for us an avenue to express our prayers for this. It is called Advent. It is a four-week season when we are allowed to confess the darkness in our world and express our longing for a better world to God.

Better Late Than Never, When Learning Gets Personal

Pandemic measures hit full force during the spring of 2020 with my classroom no longer an option and a small bedroom upstairs was transformed into an office from which to conduct Google Meet sessions. By no means did it match the effectiveness of teaching in person but we did our best.
