Area farmers donating soy-based shoes to frontline health care workers Watonwan County – From farm to frontline, the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) is taking another giant leap forward to highlight environmentally friendly investments from the soybean checkoff. Watonwan County soybean farmers, in partnership with MSR&PC, which directs the state’s soybean checkoff resources, are aunching the Stepping Up campaign to amplify farmer profitability and promote the value-added uses of the “miracle bean” while making community connections.

Schedule Serves Up More BSC Foes For Volleyball

St. James Area’s volleyball squad squared off with a pair of Big South Conference opponents the past week, pushing a strong New Ulm team to five sets on October 6th. A rematch with Blue Earth Area on October 11th ended after three sets in favor of the Buccaneers.

Runners Preview Conference Meet With Race at Fairmont

St. James Area boys cross country varsity placed 5th out of 13 teams at the I-90 Invitational at Fairmont on October 6th and the girls team was led by American Trejo and Katelyn Friesen racing close together towards the top in the a field of 82 girls.

Individual Tennis Tournament Features Wins by SJA Entrants

With a Section 2A team championship in the books, Saints netters returned for the individual portion of the competition. Singles entrants were #1 seed Eva Romsdahl and Maya Kulseth, seeded #6, and doubles teams of Allison Bluedorn and Keyana Haler, also seeded #1, and the #6 seeded duo of Alexis Brekken and Mykela Hanson.
