Duel with Jackson decides trip to Legion State Tournament

Battling through the consolation bracket, St. James earned a rematch with Jackson, their opening foe, on Saturday, July 23, at Veterans Field in St. James. Needing to win two games to qualify for State, Post #33 captured the opening contest 9-3 after jumping to a 5-0 lead but dropped the deciding game 5-3 and Jackson left with the ticket to State.

Theater program raises funds for Little Theater

On Thursday, July 21, the Theater and Arts Board provided an evening of theater and music to raise money for needed renovations in the Little Theater at the high school. The Board organized an evening performance entitled “Let us Entertain you.” which featured local talent providing music and one act plays.
