Butterfield City Council discusses water pumps and golf cart ordinance
Butterfield City Council met for its monthly meeting on Monday, April 10. The meeting started with an update on the water pumps. The west pump has been working an extended number of hours compared to the other one, mike said the previous day it worked for 18 hours. The city has had the west pump blocked with paper towels and wipes before, Mike thinks it could be blocked again. They talked about what the city could do to stop another blockage from happening, putting a mesh barrier in the pipe before the pump to catch the wipes was discussed.
St. James Area Sees Tight Game With LCWM Slip Away
The visiting Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights scored a run in each of the final two innings to escape with a 3-2 victory at the Watonwan County Fairgrounds on April 11th. Errors were in favor of LCWM as they played a game without any mistakes and the Saints committed a half dozen miscues.
Salutators recognize changes to existing businesses and welcome a new business

St. James Salutators went to three local businesses to recognize their remove, change of ownership and welcome one to the community.
Kern Brothers Score for SJA Tennis
A rematch with the St. Peter Saints on April 18th ended 5-2 in favor of the home team as the visiting St. James Area squad picked up wins at #2 and #4 singles by Brennan and Quinton Kern respectively.

Team Effort Puts Track Team Into First Place

St. James track teams took to the track for another indoor meet on Thursday, April 6th and efforts by the boys team captured top honors. Other teams competing were Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Waterville- Elysian-Morristown, and Blue Earth Area.
