St. James Area Selects Swanson as AAA Winner for 2022-23
Sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League, high school seniors with high academic achievement and participation in MSHSL-sponsored athletic and fine arts programs are eligible for the Triple “A” Award. Lunden Swanson’s achievements in the academics, arts, and athletics earned her the 2022-23 distinction for the Saints.

St. James Rally Falls Short at Fairmont
The St. James Saints came up short at Fairmont on February 13th in a 68-61 decision. Brennan Kern’s shooting paced the SJA with 20 points with Alex Stresemann also hitting double figures with 10 points.
Kern wins the Traveling 8th and 9th Street Fantasy Football Championship
Lincoln Kern was presented with the Traveling 8th and 9th Street Fantasy Football Championship Trophy Monday Feb. 6 at Jake’s Pizza. Team Lincoln recorded 8 wins on the season, and he’ll look to defend his title in next year’s league.
Zalvidar Recognized for Contributions to School and Community
The ExCEL Award, sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League, recognizes excellence in community, education, and leadership. Each MSHSL school is given an opportunity to nominate a junior boy and girl and Jacob Zalvidar is a representative from St. James Area High School.
