Bonnie Kay Schuder

A Celebration of Life Service for Bonnie Kay Schuder, 71, of Fairmont and formerly of the Odin area will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Odin. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Odin.
Bonnie was called to her eternal rest on Thursday morning, March 17, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato. A time of sharing will be held from 5 – 7 p.m., Friday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont. Personal words of comfort may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com.
Bonnie Kay Sandberg was born on February 13, 1951 to Melvin and Agnes (Derksen) Sandberg in Mountain Lake. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member and later became a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Bonnie attended school at District #12 country school north of Ormsby through the sixth grade. She then attended St. James High School graduating with the class of 1969. Following high school she worked at various jobs including babysitting, office work for a construction company. She then started at 3-M in 1972 in Fairmont for 34 years. Her last job was at K-Mart for three years. She met her husband Jerome while working at 3-M. Jerome and Bonnie were married on November 14, 1981 in Odin. To this union a son, Justin was born on August 30, 1983. Jerome died on July 27, 2005. Bonnie enjoyed sending cards to her relatives and friends. She also loved watching the Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves. She enjoyed vacations to such places as Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Nashville, Washington D.C. and Montana. The joy of her life was taking care of her only grandchild, Eliana.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Justin and (significant other, Amanda) her granddaughter, Eliana all of Fairmont; her mother, Agnes Sandberg of rural Butterfield; siblings, Ron and (Marlyce) Sandberg of rural Butterfield, LuAnn Lepp of Easton, Mark Sandberg of rural Sherburn, Tom and (Michelle) Sandberg of Plymouth and Dan and (Nancy) Sandberg of rural St. James; nieces and nephews, Brad and (Allison), Travis and (Amanda), Melanie and (Mathew), Lisa and (Kevin), Derek, Danielle and (Justin), Nick, Brooke and (Clay), Mallory and Hailey; great-nieces and nephews, Levi, Austin, Elizabeth and Lilly, Julia; and other relatives and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; her father, Melvin; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Lilly Sandberg; her maternal grandparents, Ben and Tina Derksen; her brother-in-law, Mike Lepp; many aunts, uncles and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Grace Lutheran Church, Fairmont; Martin County Humane Society, Zion Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
