Christians Can’t Hide

Jesus said: “You are the salt of the earth. . . . You are the light of the world. . . . , let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13, 14 &16) If you’re trying to hide from a hungry bear in a dark forest, shining a flashlight in every direction won’t be helpful. Your scent might still give you away, but your flashlight will also help the bear hone in on your whereabouts. Shining a light in dark places makes it difficult to hide. The light gives you away.

Back in Time

8 years ago: At the Big South Conference meet at Waseca the St. James gymnastics team placed 12th out of 13 teams. Jackson County Central was the champion followed by Worthington, Waseca, and New Ulm.

Mayor’s Message

First of all, I would like to thank our long time mayor, Gary Sturm, for all the help and advice he has shared with me during the mayoral transition of St. James. He has given much needed advice to start my term and look forward to helping our residents in the coming years. The city staff, council members and community have also been great to work with as we begin this new era in St. James.
