Summer’s End
There’s a psychological phenomenon known as the “Sunday Blues.” Perhaps you experience it yourself. I remember regularly having the feeling strongly in high school. For me, it always started around 3:00 of so (right after the Packers played in the fall), when the inevitability of school the next day swept in. It’s a feeling of anxiety, nausea, nervousness, irritability… some negative emotion that comes with the realization that we return to school or work the next day.

Finstad wins special election, county commissioner candidates set
Brad Finstad of New Ulm, a graduate of St. James High School, won the Aug. 9 special election to fill the final months of the 1st Congressional District seat in the U.S House of Representatives held by the late Jim Hagedorn. Republican Finstad received 59,788 votes while the DFL candidate, Jeff Ettinger received 55,155.

School Board hears plans, adjustments for approaching school year

Heil and Northside Principal Liam Dawson would echo the praise for the involvement by teachers across the spectrum, both in terms of grade level and discipline and also years of teaching. The shared experience will provide the basis for heightened efficiency for the weekly PLCs that run the course of the school year.
