Local 4-H Chapters Receive $9,000 in Donations
The Watonwan, Martin and Cottonwood County 4-H organizations each received $3,000 in donations from South Central Electric Association, Basin Electric Power Cooperative and CoBank. It started as a $1,000 donation from South Central Electric to each of the county 4-H chapters. South Central Electric applied for and received matching funds from Basin Electric, a South Central Electric power supplier and CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America.
Walker to be Windom’s new Elementary Assistant Principal
At Windom School Board meeting earlier this month, current Butterfield-Odin principal Tyson Walker was hired as the new Windom Elementary Assistant Principal. Walker has been the principal at Butterfield-Odin since 2018.

Butterfield City Council met for its monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 10. During the meeting the appointed an interim council member, audit report and an update on city pipes.
