Shirley Coleman is Library System’s new Director
Having worked at the Watonwan County Library in St. James since before there was Internet, Shirley Coleman has been with the library for decades. During her career she has been able to work her way up to being the Assistant Director of the Watonwan County Library system. in the decades Coleman has been with the library love of her job has not changed and is something that makes what she does for the patrons of the library all the more worth it. Being the point of contact for a lot of people on a daily basis is one of the things that she said she loved.

Benefit event for Erika Rodriguez
All are welcome to attend a benefit event on Sunday, May 1 from 11am-2pm at the St. James American Legion hosted by friends of Erika Rodriguez. Erika has lived in St. James for 12 years. She and her husband have 3 children. She is past member of Convivencia-Hispana, an active member of Uniting Cultures, and a volunteer at the Watonwan County Food Shelf.

Watonwan County Farm Bureau gives back to local Food Shelf
On March 31, Watonwan County Farm Bureau Director, Scott Runge, presented Watonwan County Food Shelf volunteer, Kathy Rathman, a donation of $400 as part of the Minnesota Farm Bureau’s efforts to increase awareness and provide support to address food insecurity throughout the state.
