St. James High School announced the second trimester honor roll students

Model Railroad NMRA Meet
The Roadhouse Model Railroad Club will be hosting the Prairie Lake Division of the NMRA meet. There will be swap tables, workshops, and operating HO display. The event will be on Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the PLD meeting at 2:30 p.m. Admission will be $3 and children under 12 are free with paid adult.

Northside’s Muffins in the Morning
After two years of not being able to have Muffins in the Morning Northside students and adults were able to enjoy muffins together before school on Friday. 128 people attended the breakfast. Sarah Bunich

With our Thanks
God has thrown us a few big hurdles these past three years, but the passing of our dear Elwood "Woody"; husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather has been, by far, the biggest and most difficult. Quiet man he was, but he sure filled our lives with love & memories. We are truly blessed and thankful for the gift he was and the time we had with him. Our hearts are broken, and we miss him very much ...in our hearts forever.

The St. James City Council meeting last Tuesday was full of community members, who are concerned about the cleanliness of the city and want to know what the city is doing about it.

Good times at Crazy Bingo
The 6th annual Crazy Bingo to Defeat ALS was on Friday. A lot of people attended to play bingo in support of ALS research.

Linda Buller retires from Community Service Director after 15 years

Monnens steps down as water department superintendent
Working for and with the St. James community has been a part of Jason Monnens’ life for over two decades. Having been born and raised in St. James he started working with city when he joined the Fire Department 26 years ago then he moved to working full time for the city.
