What are some of your Christmas traditions?
Christmas traditions make some of the memories we hold closest to our hearts and remember the most. In St. James, there are a lot of different traditions families do and some that are similar to each other.
Butterfield-Odin high school blood drive
Butterfield-Odin High School will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive in its small gym on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 12 to 5 p.m.
Aspiring Entrepreneurs Business Competition
The Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation is hosting a new event in 2022 for aspiring entrepreneurs. Before the foundation has hosted its Entrepreneurial Bridge competition, which was open to college students in the 20 county region of Southern Minnesota.

Red Cross: Donate blood now to help patients avoid delays in care
St. Paul, Minn. – As holiday celebrations continue, concern is rising for the nation’s blood supply, which has now dipped to concerning levels and could force hospitals to hold off on essential blood and platelet transfusions for patients.

Shirley Knudson retires after 25 years of working with Watonwan County
Shirley Knudson, who has been working with CADA for the past 25 years at the Watonwan County office, will be retiring at the end of the week on Jan. 7.
