Our Angels Among Us Program is in week 2 now. Three nominations have been sent in so far, we are looking forward to more coming in. Each week the paper has had the nomination form in it for people to cut out to nominate their angel.

The road to success is a lot like a marathon. You have to train hard, plan a route and set a pace that will take you where you want to go.

Only one month ends at 28 days, or at least three out of every four years. For that reason, February 28th is designated as Rare Disease Day and as odd as it may sound, 300,000,000 people are impacted by rare diseases.

Around this time of year what makes you excited, and you just can’t help but count down the days for? Some may say the first sunny stretch of days or the last snow fall. Yes, those are on my list, I mean you can’t wait for those days especially after a winter like we had this winter. Besides those, the top thing I can’t wait for is girl scout cookies. It’s not just a day it’s a good deal of time a person can enjoy them.

Sunday was the Super Bowl. It came close to being my most memorable Super Bowl ever.

Before I start my column this week, I want to state a correction from last week’s paper. There was a miscommunication with the last name of Odin State Bank’s new president, Steve Syverson.

Planning ahead is not my forte. Setting goals is one thing, mapping out a set plan to achieve the goal is another level I rarely entertain. Mainly, I just planned to get to work and keep working hard to get what I want.

Last Thursday was Groundhogs Day, as I am sure everyone knows. if I am remembering correctly whatever he did or did not see the groundhog said it will be six more weeks of winter.
