Disasters Of Another Kind
We all have a bad day from time to time. Mine can be attributed to my own fault on occasion, other days just seem to be a string of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Changes of Season
Goodbye Winter and Hello Spring! Monday was the official first day of Spring, it felt like it too. The sun was shining and it was warmer out, overall it was a great day. Here’s to the end of winter and the start of sunshiny days.

How is it looking?
It may seem like just a few weeks ago I made an apology for having a person’s name wrong in the paper, but I have to apologize to another person and anyone else who may have had their name spelled incorrectly in the paper. In last week’s Senior Citizen Spotlight Eldon Wright’s name was spelled Elton. The Plaindealer wants to apologize for that mistake.

It Only Takes One
Life is full of surprises. I don’t think I would enjoy it half as much without those unplanned, unexpected, and unusual happenstances.
Ask A Trooper
Question: Is it legal to wear earplugs or headphones while driving a vehicle in Minnesota? Answer: State statute says that no person, while operating a motor vehicle, shall wear headphones or earphones that are used in both ears simultaneously for purposes of receiving or listening to broadcasts or reproductions from radios or other sound-producing or transmitting devices. A hands-free device, like a Bluetooth earpiece, is legal because it is only worn in one ear.

Busy beginning of March
If the saying for how March comes in and leaves can be put to how busy the paper has been instead of the weather I think and hope it to be true. This month the paper is bringing back the progress section, with Covid and changes in ownership, this section has not been in the paper for a few years. It will be in March 16 and 23 paper, the theme for this year is community matters there are various stories about what is happening in the community from the city to the schools. It is my first time working with the section so I hope you all enjoy it over the next two weeks.

The Agony of Defeat
Every season starts with the knowledge that it will end at some point. For seniors, that eventual ending can be painful.

Fool Me Once, Fool Me Twice
Mistakes are not hard to come by. Some sting a little more than others.

Do you know an angel?
Our Angels Among Us Program is in week 2 now. Three nominations have been sent in so far, we are looking forward to more coming in. Each week the paper has had the nomination form in it for people to cut out to nominate their angel.
