Youth gain experience racing
The annual run for elementary and middle school students Sept. 29 included entries spanning first through sixth grade. Younger runners in each division held up well in the midst of warm weather.
FOOTBALL: Big plays key St. James return to win column
St. James Area exploded for 27 points in the second quarter of a Oct. 3 game against Martin County West and moved its season record to 4-2 after a 40-8 final.
TENNIS: Saints head to state as Section 2A champs
St. James swept through the Section 2A tournament, beating Fairmont and Maple River to defend its Section 2A title Oct. 2 at Gustavus Adolphus College and qualify for the state tourney.
