Tennis Win Over Trojans Crowns SJA as BSC Division Champ
The St. James Area rolled to another convincing win, besting Worthington 6-1 on May 11th. The victory, along with wins over additional West Division foes, earned the Saints the title of Big South Conference West Division Champions.
Saints Pick Up Victories at Windom Track Meet
A trip to Windom on May 11th resulted in wins for Saint James Area track teams in both individual and relay events. The boys 4x200 and Anthony Sletta took 1st place, along with America Trejo and Mayra Aguilar and the girls 4x200 relay.
Showdown of Saints Decides League Championship
St. Peter and St. James Area grabbed racquets on May 16th to decide the overall championship of the Big South Conference. SJA carried 3.3x5 the crown for the West Division and St. Peter, representing the best of the East Division, emerged victorious with a 6-1 score.

St. James Rotary makes donation to city’s hang-baskets
The Rotary Club sponsored a chicken hot dish luncheon and all proceeds will be used to purchase and maintain the hanging flower baskets to beautify downtown St. James. The City of St. James would also like give a special thank you to Dana Moody, Vivian Helget and Creative Touch. Opening Blast Bodes Well for Baseball Bucs
Blue Earth Area showed up late but there were ready, scoring eight runs in the top of the 1st inning on the way to a 14-5 Big South Conference victory on May 15th. The Saints mounted a rally to pull within 11-5 after five frames but stalled out.

Saints Outlast Eagles in Twelve Innings
A thrilling extra-inning game went St. James Area’s way on May 16th, along with momentum in Section standings. The Saints scored a run in the 7th inning to force extra play and posted two more in the final frame after Windom took the lead in the top of the 12th inning.
Bowers Tosses One-Hitter Against Blue Earth Area
The St. James Area Saints made quick work of BEA on May 16th, winning 9-0 behind strong pitching by Addie Bowers. The Saints outhit the Buccaneers 14-1 and Bowers struck out 16 over seven complete innings.

KEYC Recognizes Milestone and Motivation in Bowers
KEYC Sports features a weekly segment for Player of the Week, honoring an outstanding student-athlete from area schools. Addie Bowers was a recent pick for the award, adding to her impressive list of achievements.
