John D. Danielson

 A Service of Remembrance for John D. Danielson, 81, of St. James will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dunnell with Military Honors by Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post #356 of Sherburn and Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8261 outside the church. There will be fellowship right after the Military Honors in the church basement.
 John passed away peacefully Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com.
 Memorials may be sent in celebration of John’s life to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
 John David Danielson was born on June 1, 1941, to Carl Arvid and Amy (Lundborg) Danielson in Jackson. He received his education in Sherburn-Dunnell Public School, graduating in the class of 1959. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He attended Mankato State College and graduated with an Economics degree. John moved to St. James and for many years he was a tiler. Later he worked at House of Print until retirement. John was a humble introspective man of few words. He greatly enjoyed following the stock market and anything farming related.
 He is survived by his nephew, Nicholas Danielson of Minneapolis; niece, Courtney “Danielson” Christenson, great-niece, Frances Christenson, and great-nephew, August Christenson of Portland, Ore.; his former sister-in-law, Deborah Swift; cousins and other relatives and friends.
 John is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stephen Danielson, and other relatives and friends.
