A Mass of Christian Burial for LeiLani Rose Hurley, 84, of St. James will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Timothy Hall as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in St. James. LeiLani joined her Savior on December 14, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society – Pleasant View in St. James.

LeiLani was born in St. James and attended school through the 8th grade. She was a lover of all animals and usually had several dogs at a time. Watching birds was one of her pastimes in the later years with a bird feeder right out her window at the nursing home. LeiLani was a magnificent artist that could paint anything. The painting she did for us at the beginning of December 2021 will always be a treasured item.

LeiLani is survived by: her three sons – Marlin, Terry (Lorraine) and Mark, their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are LeiLani’s brother LowWell (Marcia), and sister-in-law Jackie Hurley. And her beloved dog Sunshine. She is preceded in death by her loving brothers and sisters – Caroline, Loren, LaVon, Neil, Darrell (aka Joe), and Arlo.
