Changes to St. James over the years

St. James as a city and a community has seen a lot of changes over the past two decades. These changes have been within the demographic of the community all the way to the business side of what makes the town and community what it is.

Backpack Program receives donation

St. James Mayo Clinic Health System awarded $10,000 to the Watonwan County Backpack Program as part of its Season of Gratitude awards. The program is for elementary students and there is a Food Pantry Program for the high school students.

Low scores show golf still evolving

KAPALUA, Hawaii – The scoreboard was filled with red numbers under par after the first round, all of them reaching double digits, the leading score at 59. Soft and gentle Kapalua? No, this was the PNC Championship.

Saints girls edge New Ulm

Heavy-favorite St. James will play host to Blue Earth in a Big South East high school girl’s basketball game on Thursday night.

Anna Bogle place second against Marshall

On Monday, January 10th the Saint's gymnasts competed against the Marshall Tigers. It was a fun and energetic meet where both teams supported each other throughout the night. In the end, the win went to the Tigers with a team score of 124.425 to the Saint's 103.9. Where Marshall dominated the top five placings on the vault senior captain Anna Bogle took first place on the bars with a 7.05, third on beam with a 7.35, and third on floor with a 8.075. In the all-around competition, Anna Bogle captured second place with a total score of 30.55, her personal best of the season so far! Also making the top five in the all-around Katelyn Rodriguez took fourth with a 24.75.

For those of us who’ve been craving a little silent night since Thanksgiving, there was World Introvert Day on January 2. And I missed it. Introverts being introverts, I guess no one was out there promoting it.
