Robert (Bob) Henry Paulson

Robert (Bob) Henry Paulson, 76, of St. James, formerly of Mt. Lake, entered his heavenly home on September 1, 2022, at his home with his wife Sandra, the love of his life at his side. Sturm Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. A private family prayer service will be held at a later date.
Bob was born in Windom to Helmer and Minnie (Freitag) Paulson on July 28, 1946, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Lake. He graduated from Mt. Lake High School in 1964. Bob married Sandra Darlene Brandt on February 25, 1966, and the couple had four children together. He worked for Mathiowetz Construction driving a belly dump truck until he was disabled from a car accident in 2008. His greatest love in life was his wife Sandra, his children, and grandchildren. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, often giving his catch of the day and lures away to the kids and people he met while fishing.
Bob is survived by his wife Sandra Paulson of St. James; children Jacqueline (Jeff) Colassi of Attleboro, Mass., Natalie Paulson of Lakefield, John (Meridee) Paulson of Mt. Lake, and Amanda (Gary) Blom of St. James; grandchildren Dalton and Cassandra Mortenson of Lakefield, Carly Paulson and fiancé Cole Martin of Louisville, Ky, Sam Paulson of Mitchell, S.D., Reggie, Brett, and Charlie Blom of St. James; brother Roger Paulson of Mt. Lake; sisters Jane Riley of Gore, Va. and Jean Ann Murphree of Mt. Lake. He was preceded in death by his father Helmer Paulson and mother Minnie Paulson.
