William (Bill) Henry passed away surrounded by family on July 28, 2022, in St. Peter after a brief battle with cancer.
 Bill was born on July 12, 1938, near Springfield to William and Anna Henry. He met the love his life, Maxine Sampson, in 1957 and they were married in Sleepy Eye in 1959. After their marriage, they moved to Godahl and in 1979 moved to St. James.
 Bill loved doing anything outdoors and was meticulous in caring for their yard and gardens. He also cherished sitting in their screen porch with friends and family. Bill was a man of few words, but he had a big heart and helped anyone who needed a hand.
 Bill is survived by his wife, Maxine; children – Gail (Tom) Denney of Eden Prairie, Randy of Floriday, and Kathy (Greg) Erickson of Plymouth; grandchildren – Christopher (Katie) Denney of Port Orchard, Wash., Timothy (Dawn) Denney of Hermantown, and Patrick (Lauren) Denney of Bloomington; three great-grandchildren – Grace, Maya, and Colton Denney of Port Orchard. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Baer of Pemberton and Betty Henry of Mankato; sister-in-law, Orlene Maze of Ocala, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna; infant daughter – Julie; siblings, Richard, Leroy, Anna, Ruthie, and Rosie; in-laws Roger and Margaret Sampson.
 The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing home, Ecumen Prairie Hill, and Ecumen Hospice for all the care they gave Bill these past few months. Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
