What are you looking forward to?
Around this time of year what makes you excited, and you just can’t help but count down the days for? Some may say the first sunny stretch of days or the last snow fall. Yes, those are on my list, I mean you can’t wait for those days especially after a winter like we had this winter. Besides those, the top thing I can’t wait for is girl scout cookies. It’s not just a day it’s a good deal of time a person can enjoy them.

Superhero Jesus
“Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil” Matthew 4:1 I struggle a lot with children’s Bibles and storybooks about Jesus – not because of the theology but often because of the art – the way that Jesus is portrayed. I remember the first Easter after we had our daughter, Miriam. She was given a book about Easter. I opened it up and was completely horrified when the pictures of Jesus were literally a superhero depiction of him. He had large and prominent muscles, a perfect smile, and long flowing blonde hair. His attire was even that of a superhero - armor.
