Saints Showcase Talents to Gain Revenge Against Fairmont

Less than a week after a setback to Fairmont, SJA faced the same foes in the Big South Conference Showcase at Windom on February 18th. The Saint put together a monster second half en route to a 73-61 reversal of the previous matchup.

Adrian Leaves Saints Behind in Section Wrestling

The St. James Area wrestling team loaded the bus for a Section team contest at Adrian on February 16th, falling 62-12 to the #3-seeded Dragons. The Saints found points hard to come by outside of a pair of decisions on either side of Kollin Anderson’s pin at 138 pounds.

Saints Return to Winning Ways With 73-61 Victory Over Jaguars

Deadlocked at halftime, St. James Area played a smart final half of basketball to beat Truman/Martin Luther/ Granada-Huntley-East Chain 73-61 on February 16th at Northrop. A game-high 27 points by Alex Stresemann paced the scoring and the Saints capitalized on a free throw advantage to beat the Jags who were riding a 12-8 winning streak.

Wrestling Practice Switches Gears for Individual Qualifiers

Progress for the St. James Area wrestling program was evident, piling up 11 wins over the 2022-23 schedule after several lean years. Focus now shifts in the practice room as efforts channel towards earning a trip to State with Section Individuals slated for Jackson at 10:00 on February 25th.

St. James Hosts Section 2A Gymnastics Tournament

Eight teams gathered at St. James High School on February 16th in hopes of qualifying as a team and also via individual events. St. James Area placed 7th overall with Katelyn Ojeda leading the way for the home team.
