St. James Grad Performs Life-saving Measure Before Police Shift

Micheal Dahl, 2012 St. James High School graduate, sprang into action at the Timberwolf Crossfit Gym on October 20th and is credited with saving the life of Pat Vermilyea. A member of the South St. Paul Police Department, Sergeant Dahl maintained care until medical staff arrived and later headed in for his night shift.

St. James Police Department receives grant to enhance training

On Tuesday, October 18 2022 the St. James City Council approved unanimously to accept a grant in the amount of $155,159.89 from the Untied States Department of Justice (DOJ) to purchase equipment to enhance police office training in De-Escalation, Autism Awareness, and Effectively Communicating with the Public, among other training topics.

2022 Hall of Fame inducts 10 new members

On Saturday night the VFW was full of former and current Saints athletes, coaches, contributors and their families for the 2022 Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year’s inductees were Jared Schwanz, Jerry Spitzner, Roger Nelson, Gary Rettke, Phil Tangen, Anne Branstad, Natalie Runge Oldenburg, Tyler Kaus, as well as Contributor Connie Edgerton and Coach Les Zellmann.
