Clarity of Purpose

I participated in an interesting exercise recently. We were asked to write down all the things that concern us … topics we worry about, think about often, and weigh on us. The list can be long when we are shaped by God to care for the world and love our neighbor. So we wrote down the many things that concern us. The second step was to go down the list and circle the things we can actually influence or change. War in Ukraine … nope. Long term implications of the water shortage in the western United States … nope. Mental health concerns in our young people – yes. The point of the exercise is to help us clarity our work and to give us permission not be anxious about many things.

Another Tough Team, Another Step in Right Direction for Saints

An undefeated Murray County Central squad scored early in the game on September 23rd, building a healthy lead before St. James Area capitalized on a pair of long drives to wrap up the scoring at 35-15. The Saints are still searching for their first win but left no doubt that progress is clearly moving in the right direction.
