Klobuchar meets with counties to discuss infrastructure

Sen. Amy Klobuchar met with Watonwan, Brown, Cottonwood and Nobles counties on Friday, Jan. 21. Commissioners from the counties were invited to talk with Klobuchar about projects their counties are planning to work on and issues in the counties.

Jaelyn Haler signs to play at University of Sioux Falls

Jaelyn Haler signed to play tennis for the University of Sioux Falls, Head Coach Kevin Grebin announced Haler's signing last week. Haler is a multi sport athlete for the Saints, she played four sports during her four years of high school, tennis, basketball, volleyball, softball.

Encore Café celebrates seven years

Encore Café and Heather Wentzel celebrated its 7 year anniversary over the weekend. Encore first opened in 2005, for the past 7 years Wentzel has owned the café.

Madagascar is coming to Northside Elementary

Northside Elementary is having its spring musical again this year. After not being able to have one since 2020, when the school started one but was not able to perform because of COVID-19.

Iowa State University announced its fall 2021 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean's List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale. This student from the St. James area was named to the list.
