District 840 Foundation goes beyond goal again
At the beginning of April the District 840 Foundation hosted its annual Cash for Kids Auction. This was the third year of the auction being online. Once again it had a good turn out, District 840 Foundation Director Pam Runge said the auction link had over 11,000 clicks.

Seeing in Color
I will admit to being a very odd age. I am 35 now, which means I’m old enough to run for President. But more importantly for this little devotion, it means that I am young enough to have grown up in the era of color television… but old enough that we still had a black & white TV in our home when I was growing up.
EDA Director Andrea Lynn resigns to focus on family business
St. James EDA Director Andrea Lynn submitted her letter of resignation at the beginning of the month, her final day was April 22. She has been with the city for the last year and a half as the EDA Director.

Richard Redmond, 83, of St. James died on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Waters Edge Assisted Living Center in Mankato.

Saints split double header against Pipestone
Saints softball coming off of their first win of the season had their home opener last Thursday against Pipestone. It was a double header which the two teams split the wins for.
Jones leads Saints to Conference Win
Starting pitcher Connor Jones continued his great pitching Thursday with a three hit effort against Redwood Valley. Jones surrendered a pair of hits in the third inning and a throwing error allowed two runs to cross in that frame, but he was in control the rest of the way, including striking out five in the last two innings.

St. James Saints fall to Blue Earth Area 6-5
The St. James Area baseball team made a valiant effort to come back but fell just short as they stranded three runners on base in the final inning to suffer a tough 6-5 defeat at the hands of the Blue Earth Area Buccaneers.

Saints Tennis goes two-for-two
Saints Tennis had a busy week of matches, it started with St. Peter visiting on Tuesday, followed by Redwood Valley visiting on Thursday.
