Bemidji State University announced the names of students who were named to fall semesters Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA during the semester.

Cuervos F.C.

St. James “Cuervos F.C.” and Madelia “Los Compas” played the final of the Liga Zeta at the recreation center in Lake Crystal on Sunday, March 27. The final score was Cuervos F.C.11 Los Compas 8.

Boys 4×800 took first at opening meet

Saints track and field is off to a running start with its season. The team traveled to Mankato State University for an indoor meet against Fairmont on Friday.

Answer: Flooding can occur when streams and rivers flow over their banks, when dams or levees break, when there is run-off from deep snow or any time there is heavy rainfall. Floodwaters can be found on roads, bridges and low areas.

2 years of COVID-19

Its been two years since the start of COVID-19. During these past two years we have all seen changes some good some bad. Younger people had to survive going to online schooling and older people may have had to change to working from home instead of the office.

Crazy Bingo for ALS is back

Bill Brown and his wife Corinne have been supporters of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research since Corinne’s diagnoses in October 2009. During the next 6 years they both joined the Mankato walk to defeat ALS. The disease is an incurable and upon diagnosis patients life expectancy is 2 to 5 years.

St. James approved for Safe Route to School grant

St. James EDA Director Andrea Lynn and the Street Department were working on a grant to help pay for the 10th St N sidewalk project. After the city approved the project Lynn started working on the grant application.
