Kollin Anderson qualifies for state
Kollin Anderson led the Saints this past Saturday at the Individual Section Tournament held in Wabasso. Anderson placed 2nd at 126 lbs. to punch his ticket to the Xcel Energy Center this week for the Individual State Tournament. Anderson did it the hard way, battling all the way through the wrestlebacks to earn a true 2nd match. Kollin would have a bye into the semifinals where he would face a familiar foe in Landon Andrews of Jackson County Central. Andrews would win this battle 2-0. The loss sent Anderson into the wrestlebacks, where he would face Bruce Farinella of Adrian. Anderson made quick work of Farinella with a 47 second pin. In the 3rd place bout, Anderson squared off with Quintin Lewis of Fulda/MCC. Anderson disposed of Lewis with a 2:16 pin. This was Kollin’s 50th career win as well.
